Another Food Post

Some of you have expressed an interest in our culinary findings, so here are some random food things we've seen lately.

Seen on the inside of our cheese label a few weeks ago...

The whole idea of a yellow eyed penguin kind of creeps me out, I'm not gonna lie. And I like penguins...but yellow eyes?! As a friend of mine pointed out, "Who knew penguins liked cheese?!"

Found in our store...OREOS...but...not from anywhere I'm familiar. Yes, expired (they must have spent months trying to get here!) but yet, surprisingly still tasty, even if it was a little stale.

There was MUCH excitement as 108 cans of this bliss arrived in our small store!!! I limited myself to purchase 6 and even shared 2 of those (somewhat willingly).

I drank my last one Thursday and I think I felt a tear in the corner of my eye.

(The label even had the Plano, Texas address. Be still my Dr. Pepper, Texas loving heart!)

The market continues to amaze me here. This avocado was huge and the seed was the biggest I'd ever seen! Made for some great guacamole!

These last pictures I found that I had taken while we were on the coast earlier this year.

Only saw these one time, but they were a fun treat!

Snap! Crackle! Pop!

Rice Bubbles?!?

I couldn't bring myself to pay $11 for the small box....even with the free clip!

Just wasn't worth it in my book.

There were 3 people in this house that disagreed with my decision wholeheartedly.

And finally....

They were okay. Maybe they would be better with some wasabi on the side.

  1. Now I am SO curious where all the food comes from to stock the store there! Some crazy stuff you've got there! I agree with your decision on the "Rice bubbles!: That is some crazy expensive cereal! I can't believe they even make a sea weed flavored chip...but I've seen some strange flavors in China too:)
