Pint Size Suitor

Wednesday afternoon, the beauty above came barreling into the apartment with both hands full of flowers...from a boy...a younger boy.

The story I heard from my curly headed offspring is that  "this boy" found these flowers and wanted her to have them.

Hmmm...that's interesting. I saw these same exact flowers on a bush by my neighbor's apartment just a few days ago.

This explains the lack of stems on the flowers. (Tear and go...and don't get caught!)

And it could also explain why a bug crawled out of one of the flowers onto Mo's hands as she was holding the flowers.

Her reaction was quite dramatic as to be expected from an almost six year old girl.

Drama subsided, the bug did not detour her from immediately wanting water for her flowers, but, the lack of stems was cause for a bowl, not a vase. (Insert giggles as she's placing them in water!)

After the flowers were in a bowl, I went outside to take a better look at this pint sized suitor. Through a brief, yet informative conversation, I discovered a freckled face, four year old little boy named Noah who lives in another apartment building across the parking lot. My Q&A ended as he went in search of a lizard that ran up the side of the building.

I laughed as I came inside...boys will be boys.

Later as I replayed the days events to Jason, he didn't find any of this nearly as amusing as I did...even the bug didn't stir a laugh! Poor guy...this is only the beginning! His heart may not survive raising two girls!
