Desperately trying to catch up on this little piece of life!
It's been a bit on the crazy side, so I know you'll forgive me!
Last Friday, Jason graduated...
We hit the road to Virginia on Saturday...
Sunday we were able to FaceTime our sending church.
Our Pastor is retiring after 29 years of faithful service. He will be missed!
Monday Jason spoke at Kids Camp-similar to VBS.
Their theme is aviation and Jason got to share his heart for flying and missions.
They had to cut registration off at 520!! Jason was a rock star...one kid even wanted to hug him. Being the guy that he is, he obliged. :)
Late Monday afternoon we went to the Air & Space Museum near the Dulles airport.
Such a cool place! My boys loved it and I was worried they might try to hide and spend the night!
My old college roomie married an actual rocket scientist! He had a hand in building the rocket below which is now inside the A&S Museum. His name is somewhere on the inside of the rocket!
One of D's favorite parts of the museum...the space shuttle!
Tuesday we went into DC and ate a very quick meal at
the world famous Ben's Chili Bowl.
YUM!
We raced back downtown (well, as fast as one can go in mid-day traffic in DC!) to take a Duck Tour. Such a great way to see a little bit of everything plus hear some
history especially if you have young kids.
Thanks to my sweet friend and her family for everything! We had such a great time!
We're now somewhere in the middle of the Virginia! Tonight we're getting together with Jason's old roommate and family (weird how we're reuniting with old roommates on this trip?!) So thankful to know people along the way...makes the trip much more worthwhile...and FUN!!
Tomorrow we'll start the trek further south eventually to Texas by the end of the week!
From Virginia with love...xoxo
