There we were...year ago today...D's eighth birthday...sitting in the title office waiting to sign our names on the dotted line and hand the keys of our house over to someone else.
The new normal for our family was just beginning. Jason had been unemployed as an airline pilot a solid week. We had spent the better part of the last month weeding out and sorting through the odds and ends of the last eleven years of our life together. A life that had grown six feet larger than we had ever imagined.
In a matter of just three short weeks we were jobless and homeless...and oddly full of hope at what our uncertain future held.
As I sat in the office that day, nervously glancing at my husband and yes, thinking at times that day that maybe some of our friends were right...we really were crazy for doing this...the promises of His Word rang in my heart.
If we followed Him, He would make the way.
He would provide.
We would always have everything we needed.
A year and 5 moves later, the Lord has indeed kept His promises. We've had many a roof over our head, clothes on our back and food on the table. Yes, we've even had some of the things we wanted!
He's kept us safe, healthy and together.
He's provided support through so many of His people...financially, emotionally and spiritually.
He's walked with us, beside us and thankfully, continues to go before us preparing every step of the way.
