Getting back into my routine is hard, especially after I’ve
done essentially NOTHING for almost a month. The leftover laundry from
December is staring at me. We need food in this house because my people refuse to settle for crackers and water indefinitely.
But what’s a few more hours of waiting? I’ll update the blog instead...while drinking lots of coffee and wishing for more peppermint mocha creamer.
School isn’t starting today as we anticipated. There were some unexpected changes with staffing while we were gone. Lord willing, next Monday the new semester will begin. In the meantime, will you pray for our administration and teachers as they make decisions and changes?
Our suitcases are still in the capital city at the hangar. There wasn’t enough room on our flight Monday afternoon for suitcases AND people, so we opted to bring everyone home instead of the cargo. Maybe today or Friday I’ll be able to unpack all of our wares from our 3 weeks in Texas.
So what did we do besides shop while we were deep in the heart of Texas?

After four flights, including an overnight in Brisbane...
Walking through Sydney about to get on our longest flight which was almost 16 hours long |
There was jet lag to battle...
Favorite foods to eat...
Christmas fun to be had with cousins...
COLD winter weather to take in...
Friends to hug...
More food to eat...
More cousins to play with...
And lots of time reconnecting with our families...
We had such a great time being with so many we love. We praise God for keeping us all healthy, including our families, while we were there. I know I sound like a broken record if you've talked to Jason or I, but this trip was such a gift for our family.
(See more pictures from our trip on Instagram at #brewcrewChristmas14...because apparently you need hashtags for everything you post on social media these days!)
