Wrap-Up {AirVenture 2012}

We've made it safe and sound back to the great state of Texas! We had a very busy but great week at AirVenture 2012. Some highlights of the week...

*We stayed at an amazing Christian retreat home about 40 minutes outside of OshKosh. The host and hostess were awesome people completely gifted in hospitality. We didn't get nearly enough time to enjoy all the amenities, but were thankful for such a great place to lay our heads after 12-16 hour days!

*Jason and I were assigned with the Helio Courier on display at our booth. I got a fast education in what this amazing plane can do so I could speak the lingo. By the end of the week I could talk it up with just about everybody that walked up. (shhhh...don't tell anybody, but I *think* I want to get my private pilot's license one day! Someone with some sanity talk me out of it!)

We didn't just talk about the airplane, but how the airplane is used as a tool for Bible Translation. With some, the whole concept of doing this to further the gospel was foreign. Yes, some even said we were crazy (to which I agreed!) but those conversations opened up doors for us to talk with them about Jesus...without Him and what He did, we wouldn't be doing any of this! Please pray for these seeds that were planted over this last week!

Here's Jason making the plane look presentable for the day...

It's not AirVenture without an air show every afternoon....

The Kodiak...the kind of plane Jason will fly in PNG!

One night, after speaking to a Kiwanis's group,
we drove by a Piggly Wiggly and saw this guy.
I had to get a picture with him for sure!

We had the privilege of being interviewed Tuesday morning on the 6 a.m.
morning show by a Christian radio station that came to AirVenture for the week.
The interview seriously couldn't have gone any better if it had been scripted.

The FLY 4 Life booth next door to ours.
Christian schools and mission aviation related organizations set up here.
So cool how we all came together for one common purpose...more on this coming soon!

I was happy to see the big chief in Oklahoma on Tuesday
and even happier to see three of my favorite people that afternoon!

We were blessed to be a part of such an amazing week. Our prayer was that the Lord would give us opportunities to share about Him and the words to say when we had those opportunities.

Thanks for praying for us and with us...I can say confidently He answered those prayers.
