Jason was the first to celebrate! We, as has become the norm, celebrated with "Aunt Jody and Uncle Jay" and Elijah, their son who happens to be our "Child Management Specialist" a.k.a. babysitter. We've known them since our beginnings with Wycliffe and it's been great to share life...the good, the bad, the ugly...plus holidays, with this family.
This beauty turned 8 a few weeks later.
She wanted a "stuffed animal part" with her friends. Not sure what the meaning was behind the stuffed animals, but she was happy so I guess that's all that matters. The weather was beautiful and we had the entire party outside...an added bonus!
D turned ELEVEN in October! The weekend before his birthday, a group of dads and sons hiked up to Lone Tree and camped out for the evening. The weather wasn't so cooperative as it rained and was cold, but I guess that's where the best stories and memories are made!
The birthday celebration continued with dinner. Elijah had a school project that involved making dinner and we were more than happy to oblige. (I was thankful I had a night free of cooking and dishes!)
So thankful for celebrations and fun times...even though I don't like how I old I feel :)
Part 2 is coming soon!
