Jason kicks us off the celebrations in early September. One of our close friends has a birthday two days before Jason so we celebrated together in the next town, Kainantu. She and I are under the same conclusion: if we didn't have to cook the meal, it's a good meal.
The struggle every year is making sure we celebrate dad fully before launching into Mo's party planning. And let me tell you, she has ideas.
This year we did a class party with the girls in her third grade class. Another classmate has the same birthday so it was ideal to combine the two and call it a day. The theme was "wacky dress". All the girls showed up in their craziest outfits, decorated cupcakes and decorated paper bags for a puppet show.
I took this one in black and white. The amount of color and craziness would just be too much for your screen. |

And last but not least, our dear eldest celebration. Turning 12 automatically makes you indecisive. So we went back and forth and finally decided on a class party, with a fire, cookout and watching a movie outside. Seriously, we had the perfect night! The weather was clear, the kids were fun and we even saw a shooting star fly over.
