Stacks serves kicked up diner food of all sorts and their breakfast menu is extensive. You can't go wrong when your breakfast looks like this:
After breakfast Jason mailed his work permit to PNG that he'd worked on for two weeks. The almost half a pound of paper was already in Singapore yesterday so I'm hoping it reaches PNG sometime this week. Please pray that we've done everything correctly (fingerprints, pictures, notarized documents etc.) and that this will be processed quickly so the work on our visas can begin.
We're in the process of finding a church to get involved in while we're here. The one we attended Sunday has potential.
Jason began aviation orientation today. The next four months will be full of hands on maintenance and behind the cockpit training to get him ready for the field. His days will be busy and nights full of technical reading...and he's excited!
We also found out that POC begins August 8th which means we will, Lord willing, be leaving around July 31st if all of our support is in and paperwork processed sufficiently. We will need to arrive several days before class to rest and adjust to the time change before we begin.
And lastly...a couple of pics of downtown Waxhaw. It's a quaint little town and a train comes through several times a day. There's a great bridge that you can stand on while the train runs by right underneath your feet. We'll have to go back and take better pictures...especially of the eight year old boy looking on...quite a sight!
