It’s been no secret how much I miss my peppermint mocha creamer this season. So with a little searching, tweaking and combining of a few recipes, this is what I came up with and it is SO good! If you like the chocolate peppermint combo give it a try!
Boil together 3/4 cup sugar and 3/4 cup water to make a simple sugar.
Turn the heat off, but while the mixture is still hot, whisk in:
1 Tablespoon of cocoa powder
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. peppermint extract
Completely cool and then combine with 2 cups of half and half. (I had to make my own version of half and half here, but it gets the job done.)
I use a jar to shake, combine and store. Obviously you can adjust amounts to your preference but I think this is the perfect mix of chocolatey pepperminty goodness!
